Picture yourself in a place close to nature, where trees are green and you feel the gentle breeze in your face. Flowers and the green fields are dancing with the wind and all the colors are sway with the flowers. And then you hear the enlightening chirping of the birds together with the continuous flow of the river close by. The sun is at its best glow, as if a splendid crown of glory is heightened up in the heavens; the center of attention among the white cotton candy-like clouds.
You didin't see storm clouds as you gaze at how the sky together with the clouds and sun look so beautiful and breath-taking. What could be more soothing than seeing and enjoying nature. You sigh for a moment as you walk further into the forest and you see piles of woods arranged in layers from the trees being cut, the very reason why floods occur.
Cutting of trees not only exposes man to the danger of flood but also to the extinction of other living animals and insects present in the forest as well. The flow of life in that area becomes disrupted caused by mans touch.
Wishing for a better world has become a hope to probably eight out of ten individuals worldwide. Many have been advocating this cause for decades already and have done measures to open our eyes to what is really happening beyond the four corners of our room. This fight has been around since time immemorial and it is a battle not yet won.
We see the loveliness and uniqueness of other forms of life surrounding us caught on film and photos. Let us reflect for a moment until how long are we going to see nature as it is? Are films and photos all thats left of a once reality? Until what era are we going to see nature so real and not just a pile of rubble missed by humanity? Illegal logging is still done, illegal hunting of animals is used as a business, and extinction of animal kinds are at hand as we speak. If we desire to see nature still existing in the years to come, then let us begin now to advocate for nature and its existence.
Living in rural areas most my life there was never any question as to what to do with leaves, yard waste or kitchen scraps. It was just part of the natural process to allow the leaves and yard waste to go back into the earth. Kitchen scraps were often taken out to the wildlife or composted. It never really occurred to me how important this was until a couple years ago when I found myself in an urban living situation. It seemed that I could no longer give back to Mother Earth in the same way. People raked their yards and bagged up the leaves to send to the dump.
There is an alternative you know, even for the urbanites. Of course there are many rural folks who may not being taking advantage of the benefits either. These are the benefits of composting. Composting is the natural process of decaying organic matter and using the changed material for fertilizing. Composting is natural. Mother Nature has her own system of composting that we can learn from. By not living in harmony with nature we upset natures balance.
