The future is something that the human mind cannot fully grasp and we can only have a glimpse of what the future fully is. All of us have imagined whats ahead through our dreams and ambitions. Have you ever wondered once in your existence what the future could be? Would it be bright like that of the stars and other influential people we see on the television? Will it be filled with achievements? Or it might be with the family that we have dreamed of? Whatever you may see your future to be, it will soon come to pass.
Did you know that there is someone who is much more concerned with your life and your future than anyone around you? I'm nto talking about your parents,I'm talking about our Almight Creator and Planner Who has made plans even way before we were born. You may have heard the phrase 'God loves you and He has plans for you'.
Jeremiah 29:11 says that God has a plan for each of us, a plan that would make us prosper and not the other way around, plans that give us a hope and a future. We may find it hard to believe that God, whom we don't see, has plans for us and cares for us.
We'll begin to see the bigger and better picture as we keep on walking life daily. Everything happens for a reason and it may be vague to you now, but you will know why it happened in the days, months, and years to come.
Remember that there is someone who knows it and will back you up whenever you needed it the most whatever plans you may have of the future. Knowing that you are loved and supported by the people that matters most to you and more, having a great future is not that far off. Having a great future is not about what you are going to do in the future; it is rather about what you do today that will define your future.
There are a lot of under privileged kids out there. That is a fact. Just read the newspapers and you'll find out dozens of stories about children not being able to go to school because they could not afford it. Some of this kids are so rejected that they already accepted the notion education is not for them. They simply give up the thought of improving their lives.
Some think otherwise. These are the kids who face strong odds with sheer determination and a strong will power to overcome all obstacles. One such person is Khadijah Williams, the girl who lived from shelter to shelter who finally was accepted at Harvard because of her strong determination. You might have heard of her last year since she was interviewed on Oprah. There she told her story on how she jumped from several schools and several shelters, motels and parks while studying and eventually being accepted at Harvard.
Now while that is a good story to tell, what I'm trying to stress here is, shouldn't we do something to address to the problem that this under privileged kids lack, which is more opportunity to quality education? There is a need to help and support this type of kids who are so determined to get a good education no matter what obstacles that gets in their way. It is a social responsibility that we shouldn't ignore.
