Isn't it just sad that a true to life tooth fairy, much like the illusionary tinker bell, that darts from one home to the next, sparking the need for proper dental health of children among most parents does not exist? Three year old kids have been rushed to the clinic only after their teeth were rotting down to the gums. Imagine how it must have felt for a poor little girl who underwent sweetened stomach problems all because she could not chew her food and had to swallow it whole.
In the last forty years, this dental clinic has attended to such problems. Even as these days, we are bombarded by the fact that teeth are not invincible at all, educational fliers, films, TV programs and other informative channels are still not effective as proven by the sad fact that many of the names within the clinic's patient list is brimming with young people who don't even have an idea of what a toothbrush can do for their dental health. While good nutrition is important in building strong teeth, more important is keeping teeth clean.
More than just brushing, using dental floss often so that the spaces between the teeth where bacteria merrily thrive and multiply is encouraged. To make sure that a whistle clean job on their children's teeth is done, mothers must learn the procedure and provide the leverage needed, state the dentists. Many a young child's teeth has been murdered by caramel. There are also villains in raisins. The different characteristics of good and bad teeth can be defined by hygiene more than nutritious meals can.
Due to the wonderful efforts of the children's benefit league, there was an out pour of financial help toward the clinic's preschool program just recently. There is a civic group which contributes both toothbrushes and funds. It was wonderful how the local hygienists, and dentists, specialists in their field, donated fluoride, instruments and free dental hygiene time in order to treat some kids which is not covered by their dental clinic.
Children who need serious orthodontic attention are covered by the orthodontic clinic, a specialized program. People benefiting from all these sponsorships can easily gleam the nicest pearly whites and this is what a lot of people would easily perceive. But sadly, this is never the case. Such latches on the concerns of most parents. The school nurse would send a referral note stating that the child should have a visit to the dentist and this would be written in either English or Spanish and such is the usual case for most elementary school children.
Such a visit could alleviate any fears the child may have. He would very enthralled upon seeing the nice surroundings of this local hospital's clinic found on the ground floor. X ray machines and its operations are taught to him. He meets the dentists and discovers that, gee whiz, they're not so frightening after all. The dentists, all accredited, are young, sport the longer hair styles and sometimes a mustache. They purposely wear casual clothes instead of white coats. The children are impresses as they look like average dudes.
The clinic spokesperson states that these dentists are excellent with kids. It is very rare that kids here cry but the dentists are easily able to remedy this. These little ones become confident and friendly toward these dentists along with every visit. It was nice how many kids, whose treatments are over, would write them and send pictures, too.
