Lately I could tell that my boyfriend was distressed because of his work schedule. His bosses have been putting on the pressure by setting him unacceptable deadlines. He was so weary when he came home that he just went to sleep. We really could do with his income so there is not a lot that we can do. I really wanted him to give up this job and look for a new one, however the job market was really bad since the economic climate kicked in.
It seems to be the norm these days to have a hectic working agenda. I miss the time that we spend together though. I remember nights we would spend on the settee or we would get dressed up and go for a meal. I have seen this affect others people relationships and they have split up.I just wish to backup my boyfriend as much as I can. With his birthday coming up soon I thought about booking a holiday to reload his batteries and our relationship too. If we went away, then we could spend some time together without work calling him and asking him to go into the office.
Both of us adore time away from our home town. A favourite past time of ours used to be just jumping in the car and driving where the road took us. Imagine country pubs and Sunday dinners in the pub garden. Alternatively we used to pack a blanket and head off into the hills for a picnic.
I remembered the lake district from a holiday there with my parents. It was a magical time for me and memories came back of charming scenery, rivers and green fields. Remembering it all, made me get out the photographs of that week. The photos were old but I could see my smile and how excited the area made me feel. I knew it was a excellent idea to book the holiday and took a look at lake district hotels on the net.
I was astounded at the mixture of fabulous hotels to stay in. I knew I wanted comfort and all comforts as this would help us to relax. We also needed a base from which we could go out walking and exploring. Several hotels were like this but I was drawn to one in particular. It had luxury while being an affordable price.
That evening I told my boyfriend about the surprise and he was over the moon. We were both looking forward to it. What a fantastic weekend we had. The hotel was just how it was described on the net. It was obviously meant to be for the weather was very cool and sunny. It seemed such a long time since we had spent a full weekend together, we had terrific fun and loads of laughs.A weekend in the lake district is grand whether you need to unwind or not. You will fall in love with the place and want to stay there for all time.
