We know that access doors are intended as passageways into a certain portion of a structure or building. Usually, it is used for maintenance or repair purposes. Essentially, a passage door is different from an access door, and that the former means an entry into another part of the building or structure. An access door is simply an opening into a part of the structure that is usually restricted to the general public and can be accessed only by restrictive personnel. There are certain mechanical or technical gadgets that businesses, usually industrial plants and even offices, may have to maintain for operations. These sections of the building are usually protected. Hence, access doors are necessary in order to control the people who will have access to such sensitive areas.

There are different uses of access doors and they are not limited to offices or manufacturing plants and the like. In an office setting, an employee access door is where people working in a certain establishment pass through in order to enter the premises. Usually, employee access doors are restricted to employees. This is intended for a lot of purposes, the most common of which is security. To be able to ensure that only employees are gaining access to facilities restricted for employees, these access doors can help security staff implement this policy. Access doors for employees also allow employees to enter their work premises without any hassle coming from outsiders coming into the office or structure.

Some access doors are also made for entry into restricted areas in the premises where certain sensitive equipment is stored. In a radio station, for instance, a certain portion of the premises is allotted for the transmitter. This is a sensitive type of equipment and not just anybody is allowed to make adjustments to it. Doing some tweaks here and there without the permission of the technical head can cause disruptions in transmittal of airwaves which then gets in the way of people trying to tune in to that radio's frequency. For this reason, access doors are important in order for management to ensure that only authorized staff may have access to the transmitter. Through this, accidental changes in the transmitter's settings and damages can be effectively controlled.

There are more uses of access doors. In homes, an access door can be used as a point of entry into the attic. Access doors in the attics are those that lead into that part of the home where people usually keep their treasured belongings.
Author Resource:- For industrial use, an access door is often used as well as a host of other types that are suited to every type of business need.
