Today, teens are so fond of activities that send out adrenaline rush to their system. If your kid is one of the many guys who love to feel the air brushing on their cheeks while straddling on their motorbike then you better make sure that he wears the right protective gears all the time. Even the thought of your teenaged kid hitting a tree or meeting an accident is enough to send chills down on your spine.
Because of this, face armors like helmets and other protective gears were invented. These were created for the rider and the drivers advantage to safeguard their lives. As parents it is your sole liability to make sure that your teenaged kids are safe all the time. Your child may be above 18 years but it does not mean that your responsibility as a parent to guide your child stops there. A responsible parent would always be there when their child needs him no matter what age is the child already.
Make sure that he wears a helmet all the time when he hits the road if you have a high school kid who enjoys riding a bike then support his passion. Another thing to take note about riding a motorcycle is that the rider and most especially the driver of the motorbike is not drunk. You really need to make sure that “DUI” is a big issue when driving. So that he will make sure that he does not drive while intoxicated with alcohol.
Aside from making sure that he wears a protective head gear and not driving while drunk. See to it that he does not text or call while driving. A lot of kids are so obsessed with mobile phones these days that they call or text while driving, which causes accidents and the like. But it does not mean that you should ban him from bringing his mobile phone because this device is also so important. What if your child is travelling in a place where he is not so familiar with?
What if he is not so familiar with the paths or road? The thing here is to make him understand that unnecessary use of mobile phone while driving is not safeif he has to make a phone call or send a text message with his cell phone then he should do it properly by stopping. The reason why you should also encourage your kid to bring his Smartphone wherever he goes is that if he gets stuck in an unfamiliar place he could always look up the map with the use of his phone. He also could call you whenever there is an emergency. The key to safe driving is wearing the right protective gears and being alert all the time.
